Revenue Summary Report

The Revenue Summary Report provides information regarding the total revenue generated based on a selected revenue type. The Revenue Summary command in the Revenue Reports section of the Reports Area opens the Revenue Summary screen and allows you to generate a Report showing the revenue generated using one of the revenue type categories Rate Plan, Guest Type, Origin, Segment, Room Type, Room, Building, Attached Company, or Accounts Receivable Accounts. The Report may be generated for any one of your Properties or all Properties, and for any building within a Property. The report may be generated for any selected date, and will show revenue information for the selected date, the (month) period to date and the year to date in separate sections. Once generated, the report shows each revenue type within the selected category, and the number/percentage of rooms sold, occupancy percentage, room revenue, revenue percentage and Average Daily Rate (ADR) for that type.

 

 

 

To reach the Reports Menu:

 

The Reports Menu can be accessed by clicking the Reports icon on the Action Bar:

Click the icon on the left for the Full menu.

This will display the Full menu in a tabular form, with four sections, Registration, Status, Cashier and Other.

From the Status Section, select Reports.

The Reports screen is divided into four sections, Room Reports, Revenue Reports, Managers Reports and Other Reports.

Select the Revenue Summary command from the Revenue Reports section.

When selected the Revenue Summary screen will open.

Show All Hotels: This box may be checked or unchecked. By default it is unchecked, meaning the generated report will show information ONLY for the current Property. For this report, you may choose to show the information from ALL your Properties within Skyware on one report, rather than generating separate reports for each Property.

 

Choose the Revenue By options you want for this report.

Building: This is a drop-down menu of available building options. By default the option -ALL- is selected. Select one or leave as -ALL-. This allows you to narrow the report focus to one particular building, if desired.

Revenue Type Categories: Choose ONE option using the radial buttons. You may select from:

Rate Plan, Guest Type, Origin, Segment, Room Type, Room, Building, Attached Company or Accounts Receivable Accounts.

 

Report Date: You will need to specify the Date for the Report.

Click anywhere in the field to open the calendar and select the Date you wish to have displayed on the report. By default the Date selected is today's Date.

 

When finished, click the orange button Show Summary.

Once generated, the report shows each revenue type within the selected Revenue Type category, and the number/percentage of rooms sold, occupancy percentage, room revenue (includes room revenue on non-bedded rooms), revenue percentage and Average Daily Rate (ADR) for that type, for the selected date, the period to date and the year to date in separate sections.

 

By default, the report is generated in PDF form and opens in a separate browser window. From there you can select to save or print the report, among other options. You can, instead, check the Generate report to excel checkbox to generate the report in HTML for downloading to Excel instead of PDF. The information in this case will then be correct for importing into another document rather than immediate viewing.

NOTE: The generated report appears as a pop-up window through your browser. If your browser is set to block pop-ups, you may receive a warning banner at the top of the browser. Click this banner and select to allow pop-ups so that you can view the report.
